GenZap, another CHOMP business launches

As part of the CHOMP project SBA CIC has been working with some of the young people at Young Somerset’s Bold & Brave shop, to set up a business. GenZap is a group of young creatives that make custom branded laser engraved products.

They are currently busy fulfilling three orders for company branded coasters, chopping boards with images of Langport (drawn by the young people in GenZap) and bookmarks with inspirational quotes and images. They have recently secured their fourth order for engraved log slices and will be launching their website soon. If you are interested in finding out more email genzap@youngsomerset.org.uk

Patricia Marks, CEO, SBA CIC, said, “It is wonderful to see the creativity, commitment and energy of the young people that make up GenZap. They have worked brilliantly together to build a business with a great name and logo representing their generation. SBA are pleased to provide ongoing support along with Young Somerset and wish them every success.”

Nik Harwood, CEO of Young Somerset said, “We are delighted to support GenZap as part of Young Somerset and wish the young people every success”

SBA is a community interest company, supporting business success and economic development through enterprise, education and employment. CHOMP is a fully funded programme supporting young people to become self-employed and set up their own business. Funded by Somerset Council, CHOMP aims to help those who are not fully engaged in education or employment tap into their full potential.

Young Somerset’s mission is to put young people first. Their Bold & Brave shop is a community hub where young people have the opportunity to research, design, ethically produce, showcase and sell their own quality products. All the Bold & Brave young entrepreneurs, who sell their products in the shop, are given the opportunity to learn business skills and have support with setting up their business.

If you are interested in starting your own business, looking for some advice or wanting to connect with other business SBA would love to hear from you. Get in touch at contact@sbacic.org
