This programme is designed to support people who are digitally excluded and those who are struggling with the rising cost of living, helping them gain skills, confidence, and practical support to better manage everyday life.
The programme focuses on supporting individuals who may lack access to digital devices, internet connectivity, or the confidence and skills needed to use online services. Participants receive practical, hands-on support to develop essential digital skills, including using devices, accessing the internet, setting up and using email, completing online forms, and navigating key services such as utilities, healthcare, and employment platforms.
Alongside digital skills development, the programme provides targeted support for individuals experiencing financial pressure. This includes help to understand household bills, access available support schemes, improve budgeting confidence, and identify ways to reduce costs. Where appropriate, participants are signposted to specialist advice services for additional financial or wellbeing support.
Funded by Wessex Water, this programme helps reduce digital exclusion, supports people through cost-of-living challenges, and strengthens community resilience by enabling individuals to become more confident, informed, and independent.
