Funded by National Grid
Through funding from National Grid, SBA delivers targeted employability support in partnership with SWEF, focused on helping individuals overcome barriers to work and improve their long-term prospects.
The programme supports people who are unemployed or underemployed to build the skills, confidence, and practical tools needed to progress into employment, training, or self-employment. Support is tailored to individual needs and circumstances, recognising that each participant’s journey is different.
Participants receive one-to-one guidance alongside structured employability activities, including confidence building, CV development, interview preparation, job search support, and goal setting. Where appropriate, participants are also supported to explore self-employment or further training pathways.
By combining personalised support with strong local partnerships, the programme helps individuals move forward in a way that is realistic, sustainable, and aligned with their personal goals. Funding from National Grid enables this support to reach people who may otherwise struggle to access help, contributing to stronger communities and improved employment outcomes.
