SBA in Malaysia!

SBA played a pivotal role in the creation of Omni-X, an innovative entrepreneurial initiative that came to life after its founders—Rei Tham, Rob Cao and Patricia Marks (SBA CEO) first connected at the Asia Business Show in Singapore 2023. Recognising a shared vision for exploring global innovation, SBA facilitated discussions that laid the foundation for this ambitious collaboration. This connection led to the launch of the Omni-X Global Success Programme in Malaysia in 2024, in partnership with the Malaysian Government and the Center for Business Incubation and Entrepreneurial Ventures at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology –  https://cbiev.tarc.edu.my/

The programme was designed to empower early-stage entrepreneurs, equipping them with practical skills, mentorship, and access to industry networks to accelerate their business ideas. Over several months, participants engaged in an intensive curriculum covering key startup fundamentals, including business model development, investment readiness, scaling strategies, and international market expansion. A unique aspect of the programme was its emphasis on cross-cultural business engagement, ensuring that while local customs and market dynamics were respected, the broader principles of entrepreneurial success—resilience, adaptability, and innovation—remained universal.

SBA’s involvement was instrumental in bridging global expertise with regional startup ecosystems, ensuring a vibrant exchange of ideas and business strategies. The programme culminated in an exciting Demo Day in October 2024, where participants had the opportunity to pitch their ventures to investors, corporate partners, and industry leaders. This milestone event showcased not only the success of the programme but also the strength of international collaboration. SBA’s role in uniting founders and driving this initiative forward reinforced its commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship beyond borders, proving that great businesses can emerge from anywhere with the right support and vision.
