Designed to bring job seekers and local businesses together in a relaxed, informal manner, the inaugural event was held at Topline Glass and Glazing Ltd in Ilminster in March. Recently opened, this modern, spacious building is part of the Somerset Enterprise Centre Network which also has centres in Barle, Bruton, Frome, Highbridge, Minehead, Wells, Wheddon Cross, Williton and Wiveliscombe. The network has been developed by Somerset Council to provide managed business workspace across the county with business support services provided locally to tenants and the wider community. As part of the CHOMP project SBA CIC has been working with some of the young people at Young Somerset’s Bold & Brave shop, to set up a business. GenZap is a group of young creatives that make custom branded laser engraved products. They are currently busy fulfilling three orders for company branded coasters, chopping boards with images of Langport (drawn by the young people in GenZap) and bookmarks with inspirational quotes and images.
